History as an artist

Lifelong artist, from earliest childhood.
Took first classes at Walker Art Center and Minneapolis School of Art, Minneapolis, where he won a scholarship.
Fine Arts major in College, graduating from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois where he won the Studio Art Award.
Attended the Accademia di Belli Arte in Rome, Italy.
Painted in Europe several times.
First solo exhibition at the Rainbow Cafe, Minneapolis.

Watercolor award at the Minnesota State Fair.
Taught part-time at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.
Exhibited at the Sales & Rental Gallery at the Walker Art Center.
Long career as a fashion illustrator.
Started painting flowers in 1982; first flower exhibition in 1984 at the Cross Creek Gallery, Wayzata, Minnesota.
Maintains a studio at the Northrup King Building.

Paintings owned by many collectors in Minnesota and elsewhere from Cape Cod to Naples, Florida.
Solo exhibition in October, 2000 at Koechel | Peterson Gallery, Minneapolis.
All paintings are done on d’Arches papers.
The framed paintings are done in pewter metal with Plexiglas.
All paintings are done from live flowers.
